McArthur Solicitors provide an exceptional service, and we are completely transparent with clients about the costs associated with that.
For more straightforward cases, we strive to offer a pre-determined fee. However, for more complex cases, it can be challenging to determine the exact amount of work required. Nonetheless, we commit to giving you a precise estimate based on the hourly rates for directors (£420 + VAT), solicitors and legal executives (£340 + VAT). We will keep you up to date on costs as the case progresses and will ensure that you do not incur any undisclosed expenses.

Attendance at a (local) police station
Fixed Fee
From: £750 + VAT + disbursements
Guilty Plea and Sentence in the Magistrates' Court
From: £1250 + VAT + disbursements
Please note, the fixed prices for trial advocacy may differ based on the severity and intricacy of the case, as well as the skill level of the advocate needed.
Fixed fees: We would be pleased to have a conversation with you about a fixed fee. But please note, our fixed fees must be paid in full before any work is undertaken on your case, and they are not refundable. If you prefer the security that comes with a fixed rate, however, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us to ask for a quote.
Legal Aid: Sorry, we do not accept legal aid cases. While we acknowledge every individual’s right to legal representation, we do not believe that the quality of that representation should be compromised over cost.
